What does rhinoplasty cost?

The reasons are obvious:

• The nose sits in the middle of the face. It cannot be hidden — which is why we aim for the best possible result.
• The nose has an important function for the whole body: it matters for breathing, enables the sense of smell and protects against infection. Function and aesthetics have to be brought into balance.

Nose surgery therefore demands a great deal of the surgeon — the highest degree of precision and years of experience are required. At the Kuzbari Centre three specialists in nose surgery devote themselves to exactly this task, in our own operating theatres and with a team that supports this procedure every day.

If a surgeon operated on every nose using the same standard procedure, he could also quote a standard price. But an aesthetic operation is not comparable to buying a litre of milk: people’s nose shapes differ — and so do patients’ wishes. An individually tailored operation is accordingly more or less demanding and takes a different amount of time.

And it is precisely the time required for the operation that determines the price: the fees for surgeon, assistant and anaesthetist as well as the cost of the operating theatre are calculated from it. A rhinoplasty with us takes one to four hours. This range is deliberate: we operate in our own operating theatres and therefore without time pressure — for as long as it takes until every detail is right. How long a procedure takes is decided by the findings, not by the appointment schedule.

So when looking at an offer, do not only look at the figure, but at the scope of services: what is included, what is not? With us you receive a detailed, complete cost estimate as early as the initial consultation — and what it says is the amount you pay. A price for a rhinoplasty is not a single item but the sum of several services, all of which are needed. With us these are:

• Initial consultation with 3D simulation — more than an hour, examination from the outside and inside, Vectra 3D scan and joint planning.
• Diagnostics and safety check — blood count, review of pre-existing conditions and medication, individual surgical plan.
• Surgeon’s fee — your doctor operates personally, for one to four hours, for as long as the findings require.
• Anaesthesia — a dedicated specialist anaesthetist who stays with you throughout the entire procedure.
• Surgical assistance and operating theatre — one of our three own operating theatres including team, instruments and piezotome.
• One night as an inpatient — your own patient room, nursing care around the clock, dinner and breakfast from the kitchen of the Park Hyatt Vienna.
• Ward round the next day — personally by your surgeon, with all instructions and medication for home.
• All check-ups — until the final result, that is over 6 to 12 months, including removal of the splint and the internal splints.

No additional costs arise afterwards. What we confirm to you in writing at the initial consultation is the price you pay.

The Kuzbari Centre is a hospital licensed by the Vienna provincial government with inpatient beds — and a private clinic. We invoice privately. For aesthetic rhinoplasty, reimbursement is not provided for, and we deliberately raise no hopes in that regard.

What you get from us instead is predictability: a complete written cost estimate at the initial consultation, a fixed point of contact and, if you wish, instalment payment through Kuzbari Finance. If there is a functional component — a deviated septum, for example — we discuss openly which documents you need for a submission to your insurer. We cannot give you any assurance about that; the decision is not ours.

Our initial consultation is without obligation. You can decide afterwards in your own time, and many patients get back in touch only weeks later. For us, that too is a good outcome.
